Nanogate presents new products at Automechanika

Saarbrücken nanotechnology company extends systems
competence in the automotive field

Saarbrücken/Frankfurt, 15 September 2006. Nanotechnology company Nanogate AG is improving its market potential in the automotive industry. Along with its partners it presented two new products processed by nanotechnology at the Automechanika trade fair.

Nanogate Technology® is increasingly used in products for vehicle care and is sold throughout Europe by well-known brand-name producers, mainly to specialist dealers and vehicle workshops. A new dirt-repellent system for surfaces such as seat upholstery is currently being launched on the market. Unlike conventional solutions, the Nanogate system offers lasting protection that is achieved by nanotechnological processing. In addition, Nanogate partners are for the first time showing a new paint sealant that provides protection for damaged paintwork in particular and is especially easy to use. This does away with the need for laborious manual polishing.

“These two new products confirm our enormous innovation potential in the automotive field. A variety of partner companies’ products that have been processed using Nanogate Technology® are now on the market,” said Nanogate AG’s CEO Ralf Zastrau. “At Automechanika alone, more than ten companies are presenting products based on our competence. We will continue growing in this lucrative, high-volume segment.” Items already available on the market include products for windscreens, wheel rims, leather and plastic surfaces.
