Corrosion and erosion occur with virtually all materials (e.g. glass, metal and stone). The effect begins as soon as materials come into contact with moisture, oxygen or both. Corrosion destroys the material, affects the function or even leads to security risks.

Nanogate-Technologie^® enables a new kind of corrosion protection for various applications. An invisible, ultra-thin and extremely resistant layer of enhancement protects the underlying material from environmental influences and therefore corrosion. The material itself appears unaltered; it looks and feels like it did before. Nevertheless, it is effectively protected against corrosion. The ultra-thin coating seals the material against damp and oxygen. The technology is interesting for many sectors and industrial branches; anywhere where metals are being processed, e.g. in microelectronics, ship building, architecture and in mechanical and systems engineering.

Depending on the application, the corrosion protection can be supplemented with additional functions. For example with oil, water and dirt-repelling properties. Various functions can be combined with one another - Just as you require it for your material surface.
