A transparent world brimming with fascinating ideas
Glass can be only a few millimeters thin or up to several centimeters thick. It is spun from fibers and then cast. It can be bullet-resistant and fire-proof. The material is etched, sand-blasted, treated with laser beams, coated, tinted and hardened, decoratively foiled or laminated with silk-screen printing. Glass filters UV rays, lets water drip off and doesn’t allow dirt to adhere. Glass is incredibly versatile. Nanogate-Technologie® can be applied with just as much versatility with glass in order to achieve a permanent surface enhancement. The material is supplemented and evaluated by additional functions that considerably increase the product benefits.
Looks good for longer and is easier to clean
Because glass materials are used throughout various sectors, the requirements on the material are very different. In architecture, for example, entire buildings, facades and roof constructions are made of glass. On exterior surfaces and on vehicle windows Nanogate-Technologie® can achieve water-repelling or so-called hydrophobic properties.
On account of hydrophilic effects, liquids are not repelled, but distributed on the surface as a thin film. Conductive coatings can absorb heat or transport electric impulses without affecting the transparency of the glass.
In the interior areas, new design ideas, mirrors, doors and much more are being manufactured from glass. On etched or sand-blasted elements, Nanogate-Technologie® prevents fingerprints, facilitates cleaning glass doors, prevents limestone deposits in shower cabins and protects long-term against glass corrosion.
